ELECTRON

The biggest artwork i done in my entire life.

It is a Calligraphy class final project. We design our own font, than build something related the the font’s concept.

My font was based on electronic and electricity (typical me..). So… there are 2 version of my sculpture, 1 for the presentation, another was improved version for gallery display.

 

The 1st version

The whole thing nearly as large as 1m X 1m X 1m.

SO the concept is: The mechanize dragon represent the dynamic flow of electric inside a circuit. The inner “wall” represent the “highway” which filled with flowing electric.(apology if my word used seems wrong).

The dragon feature glowing light on its eye and body. But i don’t have the photo with me.

 

The 2nd version 

These photos was taken from the academy gallery. An improved version from the 1st 1.

 

concept: Same’o dragon, but the glowing city replaced the innerwall thingy.

 

Some work in progress:

The unfinish city, the buildings was made from paper and the glowing base was actually a custom lightbox.

3D letters in progress, letter itself was made from styrene plastic( aka Pla-plate for model customization), and then finished with a coat of silver spray paint.
